According to UNICEF, one in ten schoolgirls in Africa misses classes or drops out entirely because of her period. She must often substitute pads or tampons for less safe and less absorbent materials, such as rags, newspaper, or bark.

ACDF’s Project Blossom is raising funds to ensure that more girls in Africa have access to safe menstrual protection. Just $20 can give a girl a reusable sanitary pad kit and open doors to countless opportunities.

Trees create jobs, support local communities, improve climate change resilience and mitigation, and restore forest cover to improve food and water security. Project De4-Re4 helps to nurture a sustainable future for generations to come.

Salima Resource Centre for the Blind provides education and support for Malawi’s visually impaired children, allowing them to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

ACDF has been instrumental in enhancing the Salima Centre through crucial renovations and maintenance, creating a more accessible and supportive space for these children. ACDF has also donated Braille materials and sunglasses to help provide students with the necessary tools they need to succeed.

Don Bosco Special School offers a haven and an education for physically challenged and underprivileged children in Western Kenya. With support from ACDF, the school has grown into a vital community resource.

ACDF funded and fully maintains a library that serves the school and the wider community, including staffing, to ensure its ongoing impact. The Foundation also supports classroom renovations, maintains dormitories, and supplies essential items such as mattresses and bedding for boarding students.
